To This Day

Bullying happens when someone is made fun of on purpose. The bully is usually a victim themselves. They bully other people because they have a problem of their own and a way to release that anger is by bullying someone. Bully is like a non stop cycle that I think that won't ever have a solution but they have been ways to put an end to it.

To This Day project is a great way to stand up to the bully and say enough is enough. Everyone has their story but for this kid in this video, he was described a bit bigger than the other kids. He went climbing on a tree and fell; and from the fall he end up with a bruise. It's crazy how one little thing can end up so big. This video also gives help and uplifting spirits to those who are being bullied. They help them understand that they are loved and the beauty that counts at the end of everything is your inner beauty. I'm not 100% sure if this video alone could prevent bullying but it's a way to help boost one's self esteem. The bullying could stop when the victim stops caring what the bully says. We shouldn't care about anything someone says if we know it's not true because it's our life and they have their own too.

Today most bullying doesn't happen in real life. Studies show that most people say things online and text that they won't say in person. This is a bad thing in two ways; One, people only depend on technology to interact with one an other than the old fashion way of actually spending time with them. Secondly, more people especially teens say things online that are offensive and very inappropriate which end up hurting one's feelings; Cyberbulling. There are now consequences to cyber bullying. For instance, most service providers now have monitoring when you post something online there is a code that can be located to find your computer and where you are. So efforts to stop all forms of bullying have grown over the years and I'm happy for that. Soon enough everyone will live in a world where everyone is excepted for who and what they are, like it should be.
