Inappropriate Social Media

    #RapeFace. Kids are using rape has something so hilarious that we forget it's offensive to those who have experience it. It's just like "gay". Some people use the term "gay" as negativity or even stupidity. It is very offensive for both #rapeface and "gay". Using a very serious term as a joke can make someone feel as if their experience and who they are is a joke. They are a joke. NO ONE SHOULD BE MADE FUN OF. This is like the to this day post, bullying, cyber bullying. This little situation can end up so big. That why we should listen to our parents saying not to be mean to anyone. Also, the internet use should be monitored by parents to prevent silly terms like this to become viral.

     
    There are much more other cases than using offensive terms, such as #rapeface and "gay". The internet is being use as a way of freedom of speech, but of those things should just be left unsaid. January 7,2014, the weather in Canada was colder than it was on Mars. Everyone in the GTA was outraged about the -25 forecast that even Teens and Pree teens where even more furious about the weather that they took it to social media. These "rebels' thought they were smart by mentioning @tcdsb and @tdsb complaining how they didn't cancel school because of the very bad weather. The tweets were very inappropriate and I for one was very proud that I wasn't apart of that. This is a reminder that, you should be careful what you say online because all actions have consequences.
